John Paul II Krakow-Balice International Airport served in 2017 over 5.8 million passengers. This is the best result in its history.

It was almost 852 thousand more people than a year ago, which means an increase of 17%. This is the best result in the history of Kraków's airport, and this year the forecasts assume an increase in passenger traffic by 9%. It is also worth mentioning that last year the airport recorded 46,264 take-offs and landings, in total, 10% more air operations than in 2016.

Last year, MPL Kraków-Balice offered connections to 5 new countries: US, Portugal, Czech Republic, Morocco and Ukraine, and since April this year, the United Arab Emirates will also be included in the network. In addition, convenient connecting times to Europe's largest connecting airports allow passengers to take advantage of services such as Tokyo/Seulu, Toronto, New York, Singapore and Rio de Janerio.

Krakow Airport is Poland's second largest airport in terms of the number of passengers served and Poland's largest regional airport. The winter schedule, which has been in force since 30 October, includes 89 direct scheduled services to 23 countries. They are offered by 15 airlines operating from Krakow airport: Austrian Airlines, British Airways, Brussels Airlines, easyJet, EL Al, Eurowings, Finnair, Jet2. com, KLM, Lufthansa, Norwegian, PLL LOT, Ryanair, SWISS International Air Lines, Scandinavian Airlines SAS and Ukraine International Airlines (PAP).
