Scheme of railway communication lines in the timetable of regional trains 2016/2017

The Małopolska Voivodeship self-government consistently implements the railway transport development plan in Małopolska. The network of connections built under the Fast Agglomeration Railway includes further lines, and passengers are transported by modern trains from Koleje Małopolskie

Thanks to high expenditure on repairs and infrastructure development, railways are an increasingly serious alternative to car and bus transport. The number of people who become convinced of this form of travel is increasing. They leave cars at home, putting on punctuality, comfort and reliability. In order to provide travelers with even more comfort, the Małopolska Voivodeship local government regularly allocates funds from the regional operational program for the construction or modernization of railway stations and stops as well as new Park & Ride car parks, especially in the towns located along the lines of the Agglomeration Fast Rail (Szybka Kolej Aglomeracyjna – SKA).

Fast Agglomeration Railway (SKA)

The Fast Agglomeration Railway is an organizational and technical undertaking consisting in launching a rail transport system in the region using the existing railway network. In the coming years, it is planned to operate three SKA lines:

• SKA1: Kraków Airport / Airport - Kraków Główny (Krakow Main Station) - Wieliczka Rynek / Kopalnia (Wieliczka Market Square / Salt Mine);
• SKA2: Sędziszów Kraków Główny (Krakow Main Station) - Skawina;
• SKA3: Trzebinia - Kraków Główny (Krakow Main Station) - Tarnów.

Małopolska Railways (Koleje Małopolskie)
